Brook Angeles

Brook Angeles is a soulful storyteller on a mission. His distinct voice & unique sound is making a presence in New York's music scene. Inspired by the great singer/ songwriters of the 60's & 70's, Brooks grew up on the heels of his father's lifestyle in the nightlife, entertainment & hospitality industries, Angeles is the son of a: Drummer, DJ, nightclub owner, bartender, jeweler, hustler & limousine driver. His songs reveal flashes of the underworlds he has been a part of & chronicles a life spent on the road.

From an early age Brooks had a remarkable affinity for rhythm. He was often the only student in advanced musical ensembles, who couldn't read music & played off feel alone. While all his counterparts read sheet music, Angeles memorized every hit, to every beat, to every song for every concert. This rhythmic prowess, kept showing up in his life: With various instruments he picked up, then during his time as choreographer & dance instructor, & then again as a music producer working with rappers & hip hop artists. A big part of the Brook Angeles sound is this attention to groove or "vibe" in his music.

From a young age, he learned to feel the frequency & the vibrations through countless hours shadowing his father as a DJ, to long nights being hired to play live music in various cultures and settings. Being exposed to a international sounds, languages & a wide range of music styles. You can hear these influences within his production choices, as his soulful voice cascades over various genres, always mainting it's rhythm & blues origins. â€‹To unite & uplift through the power of music, this is what it's all about. To bring back that loving feeling, he's enlisted a group of stone cold musicians to cook up The Vibes

Freddy Harris III

Born in NYC and raised in Trinidad, Freddy Harris III learned to play and build steel drums from a very young age. His father—well-known Trinidadian musician Freddie Harris Jr.— taught him. His father was a guitarist and arranger for Harry Belafonte and also toured with Ashford & Simpson, Peter Tosh, Hugh Masakela, and Miriam Makeba. Harris III began playing the steel pan at the age of four. At age six, he moved to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and began playing with The Rising Stars Steel Orchestra.

Linds Cadwell

Linds Cadwell provides the group with stone-cold walks to bombastic runs at the bottom of the audio spectrum. In other words, Cadwell plays the bass. Only one of the instruments in his repertoire. Linds is a multi-instrumentalist who dabbles on saxophone, bass, and guitar.

His most coveted position however, is as BATV's main tracking engineer.  There is a reason we call him, "Quatro the Wizard".  Growing up playing jazz on the saxophone, hard rock on the guitar, & funk on the bass, his knowledge across genres allows him to fluidly interpret Brooks range of songwriting & musical styles.

Linds is an engineer/producer by trade & a key element in co-producing many of the records in the BATV catalogue.
